How posting your job works

  2. Verify your email. Confirm using the private email link within 48 hours. Our team then reviews your job before it appears to subscribers.
  3. Receive contractor interest. Subscribers can express interest. Our administrator reviews that interest and selects who receives your contact details.

You decide whether to discuss the work or accept a quote. Posting does not guarantee responses or a contractor appointment.

What building and trade jobs can I post?

Use one job post for the work you need: extensions and conversions; renovations and internal improvements; roof and loft work; windows and doors; gardens and driveways; or energy and electrical projects. You can select more than one area for a project involving several trades.

Give practical details such as approximate dimensions, materials, access and your preferred start date. Your town or area is shown to subscribers. Keep your name, exact address, phone and email in the private details section.

Questions about posting a job

Is it free to post a job?

Yes. Customers can submit a job without paying or creating an account. Contractors use their Work Signals subscriber access to browse reviewed jobs and express interest.

Who can see my address and contact details?

Your name, full address, postcode, email and phone are hidden from the subscriber job listing. Our administrator releases these details by email only to selected subscribers after reviewing their interest. See our privacy information.

Do I need planning permission before posting?

The form lets you state your current planning position. For a submitted or approved application, provide the council and application reference privately. Job review and email verification do not confirm planning permission.

Can I close or withdraw my job?

Yes. Keep the private link in your verification email to withdraw the job. It also closes on your chosen contact-until date. Withdrawal stops new interest and further contact releases; emails already sent cannot be recalled.

Are contractors guaranteed or vetted?

Subscriber access and administrator review are not a guarantee of workmanship, qualifications or availability. Check relevant credentials, insurance, references and a written quote before choosing a contractor.
