Your subscription and use of Work Signals
Terms and Conditions
Updated 12 October 2026
These terms explain how you can use Work Signals and how our monthly subscriptions work. Work Signals provides planning and property research for builders, trades and construction businesses. For account, billing or service questions, email phancock@teamhancock.co.uk.
Monthly subscriptions — no 12-month commitment
Work Signals subscriptions run month to month. There is no 12-month contract or minimum 12-month commitment. You pay in advance for each monthly billing period. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel renewal.
Your chosen plan, monthly price and included users are shown before you pay. Pro is £50 per month for one user. Business is £200 per month for up to ten users, including the account owner. Work Signals is not VAT registered and no VAT is charged. Payments are processed by Stripe, and paid access starts once payment is confirmed.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel renewal at any time by signing in and choosing My account → Manage billing. Complete the cancellation before your next renewal to avoid the next monthly charge. Your billing account shows your renewal date and cancellation status.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the monthly period you have already paid for. You keep access under your plan until that period ends. Your subscription then ends and will not renew unless you choose to reactivate it. You do not need to wait until the end of the month to request cancellation.
A paid month means your subscription’s monthly billing period, not a calendar month. For example, if your next renewal is 9 November and you cancel on 20 October, your access continues until the end of the paid period on 9 November and the next renewal payment is stopped.
If you have difficulty cancelling, contact us using the email above so we can help.
Partial refunds and unused time
We do not offer partial or pro-rata refunds for unused days when you cancel during a paid monthly period, except where required by law. Instead, your access continues for the rest of that paid period. Choosing not to use your account does not itself cancel your subscription or entitle you to a refund.
Nothing in these terms limits any cancellation, refund or other rights you have under applicable law, including any applicable consumer cooling-off rights or remedies for a service that is not supplied as required. Contact us about a billing error or to exercise a statutory right.
Your account and payments
Keep your account information accurate and your password secure. Each user must use their own login; do not share passwords or exceed your plan’s user allowance. Business account owners manage their team’s places. If a payment fails, paid access may be paused until payment is resolved.
Using Work Signals
Use the service lawfully for your research. Do not bypass access limits, interfere with the service or redistribute our datasets without permission. Source information may carry additional licence conditions. Company ownership research requires acceptance of its separate licence terms and must not be used for direct marketing.
Coverage, record dates, available features and update frequency vary. Check our coverage and data sources and the original source before relying on a record. An opportunity score or planning application does not guarantee available work, ownership, permission to contact someone, or that a project will proceed. Data updates and optional email alerts depend on source and service availability.
Privacy and contact
Our Privacy & cookies notice explains how we handle account and research information. Stripe handles card details; Work Signals does not receive your full card number. Optional daily alerts can be switched off in My Signals.
For questions or complaints about these terms, your subscription or the service, email phancock@teamhancock.co.uk.
Referral rewards
Each new customer's first successful subscription payment earns the referrer 10% off one monthly renewal. One reward applies per renewal; extra rewards wait for later months. Discounts require a paid subscription; administrators with complimentary access can share codes and track referrals. Team invitations and self-referrals do not qualify. Refunded or disputed signups do not qualify. Rewards have no cash value and wait while the referrer has no active subscription. A reward received after an invoice is finalised applies to the following renewal.
